I’ve been thinking about doing a blog post publishing a collection of Flickr users’ Creative Commons photos from Macedonia. This unusual (for me) patriotic urge has gotten even wilder in the last few days and culminated yesterday when the Macedonian national Handball team qualified in the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
In parallel, I’ve been sort of looking into Animoto and evaluating some of its uses (will probably follow up with a full fledged blog post on it). So, to kill two birds with one stone: here’s my first Animoto movie themed Macedonia. Enjoy my producing skills!

Nicely done on your first Animoto video! Your country is beautiful! I have used Animoto with students, and they used their creative minds to develop videos that were enjoyable to watch. 45 students, 13 computers, two days of preparation, and completed projects worth displaying to parents.
@recessduty: do you use the education version of animoto or the regular one?
I use the educational version. After I entered all of the information on their website, I received an email giving me directions for getting to the educational section. The educational section gives me free access to the entire site. Most importantly, the access to the full version. The 30 second version doesn’t fit most lessons. NOTE: The educational access is good for only six months. I can, as stated in their email, apply again.

Love the animoto video of Macedonia.
You really did a great job and this makes me desire the old country even more since I live and work in New York.

@Simon:
how long since the last time you’ve been here?:)
[...] videos looked. I signed up for the regular free version (which lets me create short videos like this one here) and then realized that Animoto is also available in an education version (which gives free access [...]
